Editorial Policy: How We Research, Write and Correct

This editorial policy explains how Investor Weekly News researches, writes, reviews and corrects every article. We publish independent, informational content about Indian dividends, shareholding patterns, corporate actions and market data. We do not give investment advice.

Our Purpose

We help readers understand how Indian markets work. Therefore, we explain terms before we use them. Furthermore, we show the numbers behind a point in tables so readers can check them.

Independence

We are not affiliated with any company, broker, stock exchange, mutual fund, or regulator we write about. Consequently, no outside party reviews or approves our articles before publication. Read our disclosure and independence policy for details on advertising and funding.

How We Research

We start with primary sources. These include exchange announcements on NSE and BSE, regulator material from SEBI, and company filings. We use news reports and broker explainers only for context. Additionally, we do not publish a figure that we cannot trace to a source. See our research methodology and sources.

How We Write

We write in plain language and active voice. We keep sentences short. We label every example that uses made-up numbers as illustrative. In addition, we add a disclaimer to every article.

Handling Changing Information

Dates, ratios, tax rules and company details change. When sources disagree, we say so and point readers to the official notice. As a result, readers should always confirm time-sensitive details with the exchange or company before they act.

Corrections

We correct factual errors quickly and fix the article text. If you find an error, send it through our contact page. Include the article link and, if possible, the official source that shows the correct detail. We review every report.

What We Do Not Do

We do not recommend that readers buy or sell a security. We do not predict prices. We do not promise returns. Instead, we explain how an instrument or event works so readers can make their own decisions.

Authors

Meet the writers on our editorial team page.
