Our research methodology and sources page shows where our information comes from and how we check it. Every article on Investor Weekly News relies on this process.
Source Hierarchy
| Priority | Source Type | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| 1 (primary) | Exchange and regulator publications | NSE and BSE announcements, SEBI circulars |
| 2 (primary) | Company disclosures | Annual reports, shareholding patterns, exchange filings |
| 3 (secondary) | Established financial references | Broker learning centres, financial news outlets |
| 4 (context only) | Commentary and opinion | Used for context, never as the only source of a fact |
How We Verify Facts
We check each date, ratio and figure against a primary source whenever one exists. When only secondary sources exist, we say so. Furthermore, when sources disagree, we explain the disagreement and point readers to the official notice.
How We Treat Numbers
We show source-backed figures in tables. We label examples with made-up numbers as illustrative. In addition, we never fill a gap in data with a guess.
Market Data on This Site
Our tools and tickers pull publicly available data and may lag or differ from official exchange feeds. Therefore, treat them as general information and confirm figures with the exchange before you act.
